North York General Hospital is one of Canada's leading community academic hospitals. An excellent teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Toronto, we are uniquely positioned and qualified to serve the needs of one of the most diverse populations in our country.

NYGH has long been in leader in community healthcare, driven by our compassionate staff, medical professionals, volunteers and donors.

Among the many strengths of NYGH, two outstanding resources are the BMO Financial Group Breast Diagnostic Centre (BDC) upon which many other hospitals have modeled their early diagnosis and treatment centres and the Karen, Heather & Lynn Steinberg Breast Services which operates digital mammography machines to treat over 1,200 women annually.

The money raised from the Human Race will fund the emerging equipment and technology needs in the BDC so we can continue to be a leader in early diagnosis and compassionate treatment of breast cancer and other diseases of the breast.

North York General Hospital provides the best possible care to all our patients and touches the lives of so many in our community and beyond.

Celebrity Draft Party

Location: MUZIK, Exhibition Grounds

Gear up for the next day's adventure at the Celebrity Draft. This cocktail reception provides qualifying teams of four participants the opportunity to meet and recruit their chosen celebrity team mate. How? The premium drafting positions will be determined by the amount of money raised through pledges and sponsorship. The top fundraisers will have first choice in the draft selection process. Mix and mingle with opposing teams, celebrities, and sponsors as the anticipation builds - who will you draft as your fifth team member? Media will be present.

Brunch

Location: JOEY Don Mills

Meet the press, size up your competition and receive your Human Race kit filled with tips, trivia and the first challenge! Brunch will be served. Media will be present.

The Celebrity Human Race

Experience an event full of excitement as teams and their celebrity teammates set out on an incredible journey to accumulate points by solving clues, answering trivia and navigating to secret locations. Test your powers of observation and hone problem solving skills as you work together to complete your task(s) and receive your clue to the next destination "Pit Stop".**

Skills needed to win are leadership, cooperation, the ability to decipher challenging clues and the desire to have FUN!

**Transportation to and from Pit Stops during The Celebrity Human Race will be provided by event organizers.

Awards Reception Gala

Location: Ontario Science Centre

The final stop of the Race! The Awards Reception is a unique celebration uniting all participants, celebrities, sponsors and invited guests in an intimate and relaxing setting as they share memories from the last two days. You will enjoy an incredible reception, first-class entertainment, live auction, and awards ceremony. Who will become the North York General's Celebrity Human Race winner? Media will be present.
